This is a pretty cool opportunity! Squidoo is giving away $80,000 to charity from now until Oct. 15th.
As many of you know I am a Lensmaster on Squidoo. Squidoo allows people to build lenses and donate the proceeds to their favorite charity. The Andrews Alumnae Association is one of those charities! I have created several lenses about Andrews and all the proceeds are donated to the Alumnae Association!

These funds will help us continue to support both the students and the Alumnae with scholarships and projects. We rely on donations to operate and every little bit helps. What is so neat about this shopping project is that anyone can make a purchase as long as they use the links on the Shopping for Gifts page or on the Blog. We are really excited to announce that we are now using Google Checkout to process our "Donations and Dues". After extensive research we have decided that Google offers the best payment options for both you and the Alumnae Association. Google is one of the largest and most popular merchant providers and they offer a safe and secure way to pay with Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
Some of their features include being able to print an instant donation receipt, tracking your donations and dues in your Google Account. This is a great feature for those of you who asked if there was a way you could see if you paid your dues. The only important issue is that we need to know who we are getting paid from and your class.
This is really simple, just follow these steps: Visit our "Donations and Dues" Page. Enter the donation amount for the fund that you wish to donate too and Click "Donate". If you don't already have a Google Account you will be prompted to set one up. If you are already signed into Google you will get a screen that looks like this: 
Where it says: Mail Receipt to: You will want to click "Change" you will then get a drop-down menu and choose "Add a new address".
Enter your First Name, Maiden Name, Last Name and Class Year. This is really important so we know who donated and what class you are in.
Lastly hit "Complete Your Donation" and you are done. What is really neat is that the next time that you donate, buy tickets or pay dues this option is already set up. It will not affect your credit card information at all. The reason you are able to do this is because you might be sending what you just bought as a gift or you might be using your husbands account. Luckily it works for us to!
One last thing is that if you make an "In Memory of..." donation you will have to e-mail us who the donation is for.
