Sue Leahey is the current Director of Development at AOA. She will focus her energy on development and alumni relations efforts. She and her family relocated this summer from Syracuse, NY where she was in development at another independent school. Because that school was formed also as a result of a merger of two schools, she clearly understands the nuances involved.
Additionally, her efforts were also deeply concentrated in alumni relations, something that she thoroughly enjoys. “Hearing the stories and making connections for our alumni is truly a passion of mine. Everyone has a story and those stories make the community” she said.
Sue is married with three children, two of whom are attending AOA this fall, one in grade five and one in grade two. Her youngest, age 2, will attend next fall in the enrichment center program. Sue is thrilled to be a part of the AOA and Alumni community. “My door is always open. One of my goals is to make all of our alumni feel ownership in the school. We’re here to help you re-connect with your memories, and the people who helped foster those memoires. Please come in at anytime, I welcome the opportunity to get to know you all!” she added.
