Class of 1969 - Mark the date

The Class of 1969's 40th reunion will be Saturday September 26, 2009 in school dining room - we're tacking onto the Legacy Scholarship Luncheon so lunch will be centerpiece of reunion. Lunch was $33 last year - so plan on a bit more, includes Chinese auction tickets - always elaborate & fabulous, lunch, 50/50 raffle and lots and lots of Chinese auction prizes, plus many grand prizes. Money raised goes towards legacy scholarship fund. You'll reserve directly with school alum association, watch for invite from school closer to the fall.

Social gathering plans at Phoenix Alumni House (where Wades lived) either Friday or Sat evening are in the works, waiting for confirmation from school. We'll order pizza or make a food and beverage run. Thinking about asking locals to bring munchies, appetizers and desserts. School will be 1 year away from centennial - possible kick off happening Sat eve. Letter will be on it's way once plans finalized. We'll see what else evolves.

Lodging available at Lawnfield Inn, Mentor or Raddison, Eastlake or any other hotel in the vicinity.

The "50" and "Fabulous" Cruise has returned!

The "50" and "Fabulous" Cruise has returned and what a great time had by all. There were 41 people participating in this years cruise. Participating classes were 1972 - 1985.

A large group met Thursday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel/Casino in Ft. Lauderdale and had a great time. We met up with Lizette Lopez, Class of '75, who lives in Miami.

Friday, we bused down to the Port of Miami to board Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas. We spent 3 days at sea visiting the ports of Coco Cay, RCL own island, where the sun/sand were terrific. Nassau, Bahamas, where everyone took part in different activities from visiting the straw market, underwater boating/reef watching and stopping at the Atlantis Resort.

Then, on Monday, as we docked, saying goodbye to everyone as we headed for home - with everyone commenting on how they would like to get-together again in 2010, Andrews Centennial Year, to take another cruise.

Classes of 1954, 1955 and 1957 from Joyce Robinson Dirrman '55

Fourteen (14) lovely ladies from the Classes of 1954, 1955 and 1957 attended a luncheon at the home of Joyce Robinson Dirrman '55. Jeanne Vieth Solomon was in attendance from the State of Washington - all had a marvelous time and look forward to the next gathering!

I just found a really cool new site for Classes to announce Reunion information. It's called ClassCreator.com and best of all it's FREE! I just set a site up for the Class of 1988, Click Here to view. Also if you are a member of the Class of 1988 please update your information.

What's great about this site is that you can post Reunion News, Announcements, Post on the Message Forum and Create an In Memory Page. What's great is that you enter all the name of your class into the database and people can add photos, and links. This is the BEST way for classes to keep in touch!

Bahamas Cruise .......... time is approaching fast for our March 1st deadline.

If you haven't made your cruise reservations, please do so this next week.

We have a large group comitted to going. Just waiting for your reservation.

If you are needing a roommate, dion't let that stop you from signing-up and placing your deposit. If your traveling alone, there are other single reservations that are available as a roommate.

Passports will NOT be required for this Bahamas cruise. Passport requirement will not begin until June, 2009.

You will need to prove U.S. residence/citizenship. Birth certificates will be required for U.S. residents.
