Remember When...A Step Back in Squidoo History

With Squidoo growing everyday by leaps and bounds I thought that it would be fun for the new folks to to see a time line of Squidoo's success in the last 3 years...has it only been 3 years?

So I compiled a list of BIG news and events from the SquidBlog. Now I'm sure I've forgotten some stuff so feel free to leave a comment  and remind everyone about your best "Remember When" Squidoo story!

Oct 2005 - Seth Godin launches Squidoo and begins the first wave of Beta testing.

Feb 2006 - Squidoo now has a new landing page, The Top 100, and the ability to transfer lenses to another Lensmaster.

Mar 2006 - Squidoo has over 20,000 lenses and comes out of Beta testing.

April 2006 - Squidoo gets featured in the New York Times.

May 2006 - Lensmasters start earning $$$. w00t! AND can now Lensroll for the first time.

Jun 2006 - The "Guestbook" Module is born and Squidoo hits 30,000 lenses.

Aug 2006 - 5 Citizen Squids start their duties. The first group was Damon, Angela, Travis, Matthew and Kimberly (anyone want to take a wild guess at who they are?)

Sep 2006 - We've got Groups!

Nov 2006 - Squidoo hits the BIG 50,000...lenses that is!

Feb 2007 - Yours truly, that's me (bdkz) joined Squidoo on Feb. 17th!

Mar 2007 - 100,000 Lenses? Does anyone know who had that honor?...it was Glen, AKA N376, who snagged Lens #100,000, with 5 Second Cinema.

Apr 2007 - The SquidTeam attends eBay live!

Jun 2007 -Squidoo offers summer internships

Aug 2007 - Squidoo welcomes Community Organizer Kimberly Dawn Wells.

Sep 2007 - The very first round of Giant Squids and the Top 100 Club are announced.

Oct 2007 - One word...Squidboo

Dec 2007 - We've got 125,000 lenses and Squidflix, Squidwho, Squidbids, Squidvids, The Ever project.

Jan 2008 - SquidCasting ROCKS! you heard it here first.

Feb 2008 - Squidoo launches HeyMonkeyBrain.com which just happens to be my favorite Co-Brand AND and welcomes Blake!

Mar 2008 - We get to have fun with www.squidaholic.com, Thanks Fluff!

Apr 2008 - We've got a brand new wave of Giant Squids and 3 Giant Squid Organizers to boot...Bonnie (me again!), Robin and Patti.

May 2008 - New Dashboard.

Jun 2008 - More new Giants!

Jul 2008  - Squidoo gets the super cool and informative Answer Deck,Thanks Kimberly! AND the very generous and caring Squidoo Activists are launched (Check out their October Contest)!

Aug 2008 - We get a brand spankin' new Lensmaster Bio Page and a MagicBuilder to create lenses faster and more efficiently.  We also introduce the Giant Squid Greeters!

Sep 2008 - Squdioo gives away $80,000 in charity and we get even more new Giants!

Oct 2008 - Onward and upward...Squidoo is ON FIRE, there are more and more lensmasters making more and more quality lenses everyday and it's a thrill to be a part of it!
