Here's what it feels like to be a GIANT!

BAG Here's a few words from our newly crowned Giant Squids on what it feels like to be a GIANT:

After more than two weeks of busily trying to create lenses to get to 50, and a week of anticipation, trepidation and wondering whether I would make it, I finally found out that I did.

So, the anxiety has gone, the panic to create new lenses to reach a target is over, and my first reaction was to do a little happy dance... My next reaction was one of determination - next quarter I'm going to have 100 lenses!

I just want to add a BIG THANK YOU to the Giant Squid Organizers, without who this award wouldn't be possible. And also for the darling Squid Angels, who looked over my lenses with blessings, secret or otherwise, and helped me get this far. Thanks again, and Congratulations to my new fellow Giant Squids. Tony "Poddys"

How does it feel to be a Giant Squid? It's weird. My immediate impression is that I'm joining a band of very important and very select group of people. I *feel* that Squidoo is entirely worthy of my time.
I've stopped watching hours of TV and playing online games to concentrate on my lenses. (Have done for 9 months now). I would say this is a good thing. I'm learning so much!

I also feel very grateful to the people that have made that happen; namely Bonnie, Patti and Robin. I don't know these people, but appreciate what they've done for me.I don't know exactly what changes being a Giant will make to my lenses, but I know that I will continue to do my best to promote my varying ideas, and Squidoos' ethos..Long may it continue...Shug, "
Hillandglen"

It feels absolutely fantastic to be a brand new Giant Squid. I want to thank all the Giants for their inspiration and their willingness to give feedback and advice.  Special thanks to Jaguar Julie, bdkz, RMS and Susan52.  I hate to name names in fear of forgetting someone, but off the top of my head they are ones who have given me special inspiration to keep building better lenses. I love the Squidoo community and I feel so honored to have been chosen to be a Giant Squid! Thank you all so much! Becca "EclecticWAHM"

Thanks for my new Giant Squid status - all those late nights got me there in the end! I love the new supersized Giant Squid Badge! Katherine "makingamark"

You can imagine how happy I am. I'm tickled, thrilled-pink, frazzled-green...proud, thankful, humbled...all at the same time. Thank you so much for your personal guidance in my adventures.

Now it's time to settle into my new role as Giant lenscrafter. I've read through your ebook, signed on for the secret blog news, and I can't wait to try the special template feature.  Am I so overwhelmed with joy that I can't see the "tool" link in the new dashboard? Hmm...could you help me out here?
Thanks, Achim "Chefkeem"

I made it! I'm a Giant Squid! HOO HOO! I got so jazzed as I was creating them -- the juices just start flowing. If you've got 40 already, go for it. If you don't make it this month, keep plugging along, you'll get there. And, choose a charity and share what you make (even $1/month a lens together with other lensmasters adds up). HOO HOO! Bear hugs, Frankie "Frankster"

I haven't even been on Squidoo a whole year yet and now I'm a Giant Squid! The satisfaction of knowing all my hard work has paid off is wonderful. A big THANK YOU to bdkz, GypsyPirate, and rms for not only organizing the Giant Squids but for their interest in my lenses! And a huge THANK YOU to blondeheroine, who's got me started on Squidoo in the first place! Thanks to everyone who's visited and enjoyed my lenses; I promise to keep making more! Congrats to all of the new Giants! Thank you so much! Elizabeth "missbat"

I loved reading those comments - they reminded me again of how I felt in May when I attained Giant Squid status. Not that I needed to be reminded, of course, because the glow hasn't gone away! I'm so excited for all the new giants and still humbled to be in such good company.
