Here's Why Lensmaster clouda9 Wants To Be A Giant Squid!

According to her bio, Lensmaster clouda9 is a  wife, a mother, a pet lover and tattooer, a medical receptionist, and a Squidooer, a college graduate, a sister, a daughter, and committed to making a differencecome hell or high water! She also wants to be a Giant Squid!

Question: What inspires and motivates you to want to be a Giant Squid?

Answer: I really cannot even remember how I found Squidoo (hence my menopauseseries :-) however, it has to be one of the best places I have discovered on the Internet. My original lens about tattooing your pet was going to be it, than I started getting involved with the forum on SquidU, chatting with other lensmasters via e-mail, and finding many of the tools that the cream-of-the-crop developed to help me find my way.

My biggest inspiration to move forward into being a Giant Squid is the sense of connection that I feel here, an all important asset to any community; virtual or real-world. I've found encouragement, sincerity, true entrepreneurs, genuine people, and the list goes on and on. As crazy as it may sound, (especially to those who have never tried Squidoo) this amazing place feels like home to me!

Additionally, if I did not say that I would like freedom, so I didn't have to 'work for the man', I'd be neglecting one of the major reasons why I'm Squidooing and working on other projects on the Internet. To date I'm realizing a small monthly income from my lenses, a sweet return on something that is free to build and be a part of. And by virtue alone, it's a springboard; have a blog at SquidTop, improves upon my personal website, encourages me to develop an awesome Flickr photostream, keeps me connected via Twitter, Squidcasts, RSS, and miscellaneous other social networks. I'm now at 50+ lenses, with notes and ideas brewing for more!
