Lensmaster purplelady thinks People should have to have a license to have children. While I understand and agree with the concept I don't think that this can be realistically enforced. What do we do with all the children whose parents don't get the license? Who determines who should get a license? What is the criteria? Education, age, wealth?
There's way too much room for people in power to abuse the system and determine that only certain groups of individuals should procreate and that's a bad thing. Instead we need to create programs to help people become better parents on the grass roots level.
Having a license does not mean that people will be good parents. Are all people with a driver's license good drivers? Not even close. Think about it!
