The Movie... or The Book?

Lensmaster alienflower asked the question, The Movie... or The Book? and that's a darn good question. Have you ever read a book and been so excited about the upcoming movie only to be horribly disappointment by Hollywood's version? I think most of us have been. I would say more times then not the book is far better then the movie. My only exception would be High Fidelity, but maybe it's because I love John Cusack! What do you think?
