The Movie... or The Book?

Lensmaster alienflower asked the question, The Movie... or The Book? and that's a darn good question. Have you ever read a book and been so excited about the upcoming movie only to be horribly disappointment by Hollywood's version? I think most of us have been. I would say more times then not the book is far better then the movie. My only exception would be High Fidelity, but maybe it's because I love John Cusack! What do you think?

Is This FREE?

Lensmaster Arizona-Snow wants to know Is This FREE? and I want to know too! There is nothing worse then reading a cool website about some really neat FREE product and then realizing that it's not "Really" FREE. From "Buy-one, Get-one" deals to "it's free but you pay the shipping" scams make me want to scream. If you say something is FREE, then gosh darn it you better deliver! Lensmaster enslavedbyfaeries just posted a debate that just made me laugh. Guyliner - Love It OR Hate It?! Being a child of the 80's Guyliner was just part of our everyday life. Bands like Duran Duran, Berlin, Human League all wore make-up and it was not only the norm, but super sexy!

Now in 2008...I'm not so sure. My husband would look horrible in Guyliner, but I agree with enslavedbyfaeries...Jared Leto looks pretty good with racoon eyes.

David Cook vs. David Archuleta

Lensmaster fefe has got a really good debate going about the battle of the Americal Idol David's. David Cook vs. David Archuleta is one HOT topic! I really think that Jason Castro is on his way out after last nights performance. Syesha Mercado will come in third and then the David's will battle it out for first place. My vote is going to David Cook...sorry Archuleta fans, I just like Mr. Cook's rockin' style.

Papa John's: Cheap Pizza or Free Advertising? I think that this is an amazing marketing ploy from Papa John's Pizza. According to Yahoo! the chain made a T-Shirt that said "Cry Baby" with LeBron's James' number 23 on it. The pizza chain is apologizing for the blunder by selling .23 Pizza's in Cleveland on Thursday.

This story is all over the national news. I think the free advertising will make up for the cheap Pizza's!

The Price Is Right: Bob Barker vs. Drew Carey Bob Barker is a game show icon, pet lover and all around great guy. Drew Carey is the new host with the dry sense of humor and cool laugh. Whose better? Sorry Drew, I loved the "Drew Carey Show" but Bob wins hands down in my book. He was a hoot when he interacted with the players and was loved by old ladies and college students alike. A US GasTax Holiday is a BAD, BAD, BAD idea!

Suspension of the federal gasoline tax is just a band-aid for families that rely on their cars to go back and forth to work. It also encourages people to use more gas for vacations and non-essential travel. The government needs to develop cars that use less gas, reward people for car pooling, provide cities with incentives to build bike paths, invent new ways to travel so that we can save our planet. Grand Theft Auto IV - Best Ever or Big Bust

Grand Theft Auto 4 is slated to be the biggest video game release of 2008. Steeped in controversy this game features violence, killing, guns and sex...Hey it's the evening news!

I have not had a chance to play this version yet but I expect it to be a hoot. Just heed the warnings and keep it away from teenage boys...They'll just have to learn about those things the old fashion way like from school, church and the movies like we did.

Lensmaster fefe just started a really cool debate. Should Cookie Monster eat food besides cookies? After some careful thought here's my answer. The mom in me says that Cookie Monster should probably be eating something more nutritious then cookies all day. However the kid in me says "Gimme the damn Cookies". I think I would be quite happy living on a diet of Mint Milano's and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies and nothing else so there!

Luke Skywalker or Han Solo?

Lensmaster victoria_neely just started a really cool debate, Luke Skywalker or Han Solo? Now being that I am a huge Star Wars fan I have put a lot of thought into this question. Han Solo wins hands down. Luke is just too innocent and goofy in the first movie. Now by Return of the Jedi he's a little more attractive but Han still wins! I'm not sure if it's Harrison Ford or that scoundrel personality but Han is way more appealing then Luke. Han also flys the Millennium Falcon, wears really nice pants and looks great with a blaster gun...are these enough reasons! Sorry Mark! What do you think?
