bdkz's Squidoo Charity Challenge for May 2008

Each month I will be challenging lensmasters to "Convert A Lens" for a specific charity. This month's we are featuring two charities, The Children's Defense Fund and Save the Children.

You can convert or create any kind of lens about any subject (G rated appropriate lenses please). The only criteria is that you have to donate the funds to The Children's Defense Fund and Save the Children. Just change your Payment Option Settings on your lens.

Remember the goal is to convert or create as many lenses as we can! At the end of the month I'll announce how many we have!

To get as many people involved as we can e-mail this blog to your family and friends. Challenge them to convert or create a lens!

Who Is Famous Damons

Lensmaster boredofeducation whose name just happens to be Damon gives us a really neat lens called Who Is Famous Damons for the April Charity Challenge! It's a lot of fun to see the history of his name Damon!

My Quest For A Greener Life

Lensmaster CherylK contributed her lens My Quest For A Greener Life for the April Charity Challenge. I love her lenses. She talks about what the average person can do for environment like reusing shopping bags, cutting energy costs and buying less stuff (I need to work on that one). She explains that by taking "Small Steps" towards a cleaner environment we can all make a difference which is a really great idea.

She also hates to fly which I can totally relate to! I have not been on a plane since 1986...give me a scooter, a bike or a horse any day! Does this count as conserving energy? I hope so.
