Sandra Bullock Owes Me $3.99!

I am such a sucker. Today it's a little cool and rainy here so my mom and I decided to order a movie off of DISH TV. Sadly we chose the worst movie ever made. Premonition starring Sandra Bullock is a complete train wreck. A colossal disaster of of such monumental proportion that I am amazed that she even still gets work. The movie centers around Bullock as a dreary housewife who has "premonitions" about the future. I won't bore you with anymore details other then the fact that a 3rd grader could have written a better script.

Now I realize that Sandra didn't produce the movie but gosh darn it she is the most obvious suspect to blame in this fiasco. Actually I really like Sandra Bullock. She's a really great actress so why she would choose this "film", and I use that term loosely, is beyond me. Is she hard up for money? Sandra talk to us.

Anyway I am requesting my money back. If I eat at McDonald's and my Big Mac tastes like the inside of a garbage can I get my money back. If I buy a hammer at Sears and the top falls off I can get my money back. OK, you get the point. So why on earth if you see a bad movie can't you get your money back. I realize that no one forced me to watch this movie but I was lured in by advertising. I supposes I could have read the reviews first but I really don't think that releases blame here. If the above stated hammer as Sears got a bad review I still get my money back if it's defective. Premonition is defective and I want my money back. I am holding the movie industry accountable for it's actions and Sandra for luring me into seeing what I thought would be a good movie.

Sandra you can e-mail me through this blog and arrange for the refund of my $3.99. Thank You in advance.

Why You Need To See Napoleon Dynamite!

I am a little bit obsessed with the movie Napoleon Dynamite. You can read my Philosophical Musings about the movie here and see why this film is such a "must see". Now I am not usually one to force my movie madness upon others but I would just like to go on the record and say that this is a really, really, great movie and if you have not seen it yet then I recommend that you get yourself a copy today. OK, I'm done now.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High...an 1980's Icon!

I just watched it for like the hundredth time tonight. I'll have to say that I really like how the movie has held up over the years. It seems more real then today's teen movies. I love Judge Reinhold as Brad. He is the ultimate 1980's teenager. Fast Food worker, vintage car, girl problems. I really hate how modern teen movies depict teens as these super-cool, rich, well-dressed celebrities like Lindsay Lohan in Freaky Friday & Mean Girls. I am assuming that teenagers don't have a stylist at home. I love that fact that it looks like Jennifer Jason Leigh did her own hair and make-up. Hey it was the 1980's, she probably did do her own hair and make-up. You can also see a very young Sean Penn, Forest Whitaker, and Nicolas Cage (he was Brad's friend in the movie).  And yes I know it's cliche but I love Ray Walston as Mr. Hand. He alone makes the movie worth seeing again! So my suggestion for this fine Saturday night is to grab some popcorn and watch Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
